Lamar Union Plaza Announces New Retail and Restaurant Tenants
Korean barbeque, freezer-focused wellness, and new nail salon to open at multiuse center early this fall.
(Austin, TX) – Lamar Union Plaza announces three new leases at its multiuse development located in South Austin. Jjim BBQ, Restore Hyper Wellness + Cryotherapy, and a nail salon will open the space previously occupied by Coated Professionally Polished. Openings will occur in fall and early winter of 2020.
The news of the businesses’ expansions and openings arrive during a time of extreme economic adversity due to COVID-19. The new leases represent Lamar Union Plaza’s continued effort to offer diverse and local brands to the community.

Jjim BBQ specializes in traditional slow cooking, grilling, and braising of meats and vegetables commonly used in Korean BBQ methods. Helmed by founders of Donkey Mo’s Korean Fried Chicken and Tso Chinese Delivery, the restaurant concept is the third project pursued by the CKN Hospitality Trio that includes Min Chloe, Brian Kim, and Youngmin Noh.

Headquartered in Austin, Restore Hyper Wellness + Cryotherapy offers services including IV Drip Therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Photobiomodulation Therapy, Cryotherapy, and more. The new location fronts South Lamar Boulevard and will be adjacent to Shake Shack.

Owners of VIP Nails, with two existing locations in Austin and one in Leander, will join the center under a new name. The salon space is adjacent to Joseph Brothers Design.

LAMAR UNION PLAZA WELCOMES JOSEPH DESIGN BUILD
Custom Home Builder to open its Showroom in Center’s Retail Space this December
Austin, TX — Lamar Union Plaza today announced that Joseph Design Build will join the family of retail partners in the mixed use development. Joseph Design Build is a luxury, custom home builder that provides turnkey development, design and construction services. Joseph Design Build will occupy the space previously utilized by Optique. Construction begins today and the company plans to occupy the space in December.
